I’ve had a great experience with Dignity Health Weight Loss Center. The dietitians and NP’s have been nothing but encouraging. One of my fears starting this journey was judgment from practitioners and that never happened once. I have received all of the necessary info I need to be successful before and after surgery. I am excited to continue my journey with these people. ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rave Review for Dignity Health Weight Loss Center I am 4 months post-operation, and I’ve already lost 55 pounds — and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the entire team at Dignity Health Weight Loss Center! From the very first consultation to my post-op follow-ups, I have felt completely supported, cared for, and encouraged every step of the way. The medical staff is absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in their patients’ success. They take the time to explain everything thoroughly and make sure you feel confident and comfortable throughout your journey. My surgeon and the entire care team treated me with so much compassion, and it’s clear they truly love what they do. The receptionists and front desk staff deserve a huge shout-out as well! They are always friendly, professional, and welcoming. Whether I’m calling with a question or checking in for an appointment, they always greet me with a smile and make the experience smooth and stress-free. This program has completely changed my life — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I’ve learned healthier habits, gained so much confidence, and feel like I’ve been given a second chance to live my life to the fullest. If you’re considering bariatric surgery or any kind of weight loss program, I highly recommend Dignity Health Weight Loss Center. You’ll be in the best possible hands!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’ve had such a frustrating experience with this clinic that I feel like I need to warn others. I’ve been trying to get a prescription for over a month now, and the process has been completely mishandled from start to finish. As a weight loss clinic, I expected them to be familiar with these medications and insurance processes like prior authorizations, but that has not been my experience at all. There has been constant miscommunication between the clinic and the pharmacy, with each side pointing fingers at the other. Meanwhile, nothing is actually getting done. I’ve had to call multiple times just to figure out what’s going on, and every time I get a different answer. The most frustrating part is the lack of follow-up. I was told that a prior authorization request would be received and completed “that day or the next day.” Over a week later, I found out nothing had been received or submitted. When I followed up, I was told it was “assumed” to have been handled while staff was out. There was no verification, no follow-through, and no accountability. For a clinic that specializes in weight loss and prescribes these medications regularly, this level of disorganization is honestly unacceptable. Patients shouldn’t have to manage the entire process themselves or chase down basic steps like this. I’m also on a time constraint due to an upcoming international move, which I’ve communicated, but there’s been no sense of urgency or proactive support. At this point, I feel more stressed and unsupported than when I started. I came here for help with my health, and instead I’ve had to coordinate between the clinic and pharmacy on my own just to try to get a prescription processed. I really hope they improve their communication and follow-up systems, because this experience has been incredibly disappointing.
I had a pleasant experience with Dignity Health and I am glad they are who my PCP referred me to for weight loss surgery. Upon my first appointment we scheduled all of my future appointments and that felt amazing! There were a few times I needed to reschedule and they were always flexible with me. The dieticians and RN's there are very friendly and professional. They all do a great job answering any questions I have and the support they offer is great, because this is not an easy process at all. It can be difficult to get through on the phone at times, but persistence usually pays off, and they always return your call if you leave a message asking for a call back.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! Just be careful with dignity weight loss center. The surprise billing is something that they seem to be willing to do. I was a self-pay and was told exactly what it would cost in writing for the three visits. One with a nurse practitioner. The other two with a dietitian. I paid those amounts as an outpatient Self-Pay package. Surprise surprise 4 months later $800 bill for one nurse practitioner visit and two dietitian visits. What a scam
I do not recommend the dignity weight loss center. I did all my pre-op work with them (which was all just to check the boxes for my insurance to approve the procedure) and was never able to see the dietician for actual help with meal planning and assistance with my food allergies. When I finally was able to see her 10 weeks post-op she was rude, unhelpful and extremely condescending. As a result I am not returning and will continue my care with my surgeon, private NP and a different dietician. Dignity shame on you for hiring a dietician that treats overweight people like stereotypes and has zero compassion or helpful resources for patients who are super Committed to their success.
Went through the whole program just to be told I can't have my surgery 2 days before my scheduled surgery talk about devastating.
These people saved my life! Right from the start they made me feel like my weight loss journey was important! I always felt like I mattered. The nurses are wonderful and knowledgeable. I especially love Maria and Peggy! Shelly in the front office is amazing, friendly, and helpful. The director is also very kind. She came to visit me before and after my surgery. I can’t say enough about the awesome care I receive at Dignity Weight Loss.
I could not be more disappointed with Dignity Health Weight loss. My husband and I decided to begin the journey together in October 2023. We went to all appointments, completed all required pre-surgery tests and outpatient procedures, paying all OOP, copays etc. This was quite a bit of $ and we still are receiving bills from Dignity and various other departments within the hospital requesting payment in addition to what we already paid. A month before our surgeries we were told that an outrageous amount would be due the day of. This isn’t necessarily their fault, new year, new insurance but the manner in which it was handled was extremely discouraging. There was no payment or finance options. We were given the run-around for weeks, waiting on calls back from the office but kept receiving the calls about our upcoming appointments. No one in that office seemed to care about us as patients once an issue arose. We didn’t have a large amount of money readily available, so our journey was basically abandoned and not at all by our choice. Dr. Leavitt seemed caring and compassionate at our initial visits with him but unfortunately that was not the case within his office. So now we are out of $ for what was paid on the pre-surgery procedures and receiving bills for more money owed. Basically it was all for nothing. Something that could have changed our lives and improved our health and management of other health issues all came down to not having all the money that Dignity wanted at the time they wanted it.
UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I am beyond Dissatisfied and Dissapointed with the deception of this office staff! I have been working so hard for the last four months getting ready for this surgery. I have went through all of my pre-examinations/protocols through their program and had my insurance approved on 10/13 for this procedure! I’m just now receiving a call back from the office manager today 10/24 after reaching out to her and leaving messages over a week ago.She calls me to tell me she has no idea when I can get my surgery scheduled because they're waiting to get more surgeon time! Have you heard anything like this? I have several friends who have went through the surgery and never had a problem like this! There have been countless mistakes with this office throughout this entire process that I’ve had to follow up, recheck and come back to correct. At the very least, honesty would have been appreciated so that I wouldn’t have been held back from completing my health journey with this weight loss center. I highly recommend to NOT go through the worse experience ever that I just went through with Dignity Weight Loss Center.
