My entire experience with Dr Barnett and her staff has been amazing — from ease of scheduling, friendly and efficient front office and fantastic medical assistants/nurses! Dr Barnett fosters a calm and comfortable environment which put me at ease as we worked through the process of biopsy/diagnosis and then treatment. I recommend Dr Barnett and her practice to anyone looking for medical and/or aesthetic dermatology!

Went in for annual preventive skin cancer exam (fully covered under my UHC policy). Billed as new patient/diagnostic and now paying out of pocket. At no point did they say this would billed as this even though I clarified it was a preventive exam from the start, I booked it as an annual on Zocdoc, came in with 0 problems/concerns, and they told me to follow up every 2 years for a screening. Will remove this if it's just a misunderstanding/user error, but I've had to make like 5 different phone calls back and forth just so I don't have to pay this bill. I would be forgiving if it was user error, but at no point, did they ever dispute the fact this was a preventative skin cancer exam nor that it would be coded any other way. EDIT: yeah my appeal got denied cause these guys did their billing code this way. im basically out $200 because this center didn't disclose or counter any of why i said i was coming to visit. at least i know never to visit again. EDIT 2: They left me a voicemail and said my review was false and that they'll be escalating with Google to remove it.

Not 1 star on account of the staff/their overall friendliness at appointments/their expertise all being fine, that hasn’t been my issue. The prescription policies at this practice are why I’m rating it low, I don’t know why there are so many issues getting and staying on medication here. I moved to Georgia and tried to get set up on a prescription that I took for almost 2 years in my previous state, they made me do initial bloodwork at the first appointment(which I was fine with) and nothing worrying showed up on the results. But then, every 3 months I’d run out of refills of the prescription, where previously it’d take me a year to run out. When I got to 6 months/9 months out from my initial appointment, the staff would say “hey we really need to run bloodwork and have you come in again to continue this medication” and I’d say “respectfully that’s unnecessary, I’ve been on this for years now with no problems” and then they’d let me continue. My annual appointment came and they pushed on bloodwork again, I said “no thanks, really I’m just here to renew my prescription and nothing has changed since the last time bloodwork was done”. Then they lowered my dose by 50mg after that annual appointment and didn’t tell me they’d do that ahead of time and/or why they lowered it, which was my final straw. I just saw a new dermatologist who got me on the right dosage again with no bloodwork needed at my initial appointment, and confirmed refills of the medication for a year. If you’re someone who doesn’t want doctor’s offices hovering over you and trying to frequently charge you for additional appointments and labs, I wouldn’t recommend going here. (edit: they responded saying they couldn’t find me in their system, that is because I use a nickname online for privacy + so businesses don’t contact me if I had a poor experience and review them honestly. I tried this practice for a year, the dermatologists I had before and after them were both incredibly safe and exhibited none of the problems this place has)

Dr. Barnett made my first visit to a dermatologist feel easy. Her knowledge, kind presence, and clear communication instantly earned my trust. I’m excited to begin this skincare journey and I can’t wait for what’s ahead. If you’ve been considering a visit, I'd say Yes!

Dr Barnett was very attentive, kind and knowledgeable. I appreciated her product recommendations to address my skin goals.

I recently had a bad experience with another clinic which made me appreciate this one so much more. Dr Barnett was wonderful and very judicious with her time. You can tell she knows her job well. Also this clinic did not over charge me at all, explained my insurance coverage and non-coverage very well (they didn't have to but this was really appreciated). Not all clinics in ATL are like this so when you find one it must be lauded.

I informed them I would be late. To their credit I did say 10 minutes and it was 20mins. But the location was hard to find since it was my first time at the location. When I got into the building I had to wait for 10mins just for someone to come to the desk and direct me which floor to go to. Not really friendly or understanding for a first time patient Update: I went down the street to dermatology consultants P.C., not only did they take me as a same day walk in but they were very kind and my procedure only took 3mins.

I really appreciate how responsive and honest Dr Barnett always is. My questions are always answered promptly and thoroughly, and I never feel rushed or dismissed. What sets her apart is her willingness to share what has worked for her personally and what hasn’t, which makes her guidance feel genuine and practical. I feel well-informed and confident in my care and would absolutely recommend her for your skin care needs.

I can’t say enough good things about Atlanta skin wellness center! Dr. Barnett is absolutely amazing, knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly takes the time to listen and explain everything thoroughly. You feel completely at ease in her care. The two front desk. Ladies are so friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile and make the check in and check out process, smooth and pleasant. The medical assistance are just as wonderful, professional, kind and attentive. This whole team works together seamlessly to create a welcoming and efficient experience from start to finish. Love them!!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Barnett. She is truly the best at what she does. Every time I come in with questions she takes the time to thoughtfully explain everything and makes me feel completely comfortable and confident in my treatment plan.
